Andrew is Professor and Associate Chair, External Relations & Development for the Health Systems Management department of Rush University in Chicago, IL. As a practitioner-scholar, Andy splits his time between a faculty role with Rush University and a leadership role with the non-profit National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL), whose organizational membership programs include the U.S. Cooperative for International Patient Programs (USCIPP) (www.uscipp.net), whose mission is to support its members’ efforts to expand global access to US expertise in high-quality healthcare. In support of this mission, USCIPP partners with Rush University to provide a portfolio of member-driven research, including annual member bench-marking surveys.
Andrew is the author of several dozen peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, as well as four books, including “The future of healthcare: Global trends worth watching” and “Exceptional Leadership: 16 critical competencies for healthcare executives,” which was recently released in its second edition.
Andrew received his PsyD in clinical psychology from the College of William & Mary, his MS in human resource development from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and his BS in psychology with a mathematics concentration from Pennsylvania State University.
