President & Chief Operating Officer, International Hospital Corporation, USA
Clifton N. Orme has functioned in a leadership capacity in a variety of hospital organizations for a period of twenty-five years. Currently he is President & Chief Operating Officer of the CIMA Division of International Hospital Corporation (IHC), with headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
IHC owns and operates US-style, private healthcare facilities in Latin America. Throughout his career, Orme has led hospitals in ten distinct markets in North and Central America and has excelled at leading turnarounds and continuous improvement efforts in small to mid-size hospitals. Orme served on the board of APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology), the boards of two state hospital associations in the US and currently serves on the APIC Consulting Board.
He was Adjunct Professor for the University of St. Francis, Associate Professor at the University of Phoenix and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He graduated with distinction with his MBA from Brigham Young University, has lived abroad for a combined five years and is fluent in Spanish. Orme is a seasoned international hospital executive with a track record for developing high-performing management teams and achieving financial results at both not-for-profit and for-profit acute care hospitals.
He possesses a deep understanding of operations management and business development for freestanding and for multi-site facilities and successfully engages physicians and employees at all levels of the organization to improve safety, reduce medical errors and eliminate waste.
