Dr. Jesus M. Paylos

Dr. Jesus M. Paylos holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and a PhD Degree from Complutense University of Madrid. He has also specialized in Cardiology and Intensive Care Medicine. His doctoral thesis presented in the Complutense University of Madrid is the first publication in Spain related to Cardiac Sudden Death.
Before leading Moncloa University Hospital’s Arrhythmias Unit, Dr. Paylos has developed his professional career in hospitals such as Jackson Memorial Hospital (USA), Johannesburg Hospital (South Africa), Emory Hospital (USA), Barnes Hospital (USA), Ruber International Hospital (Spain) and 12 de Octubre Hospital (Spain).
Dr. Paylos is also a member of the prestigious North American Association of Pacing and Electrophysiology, Heart Rhythm Society, Spanish Society of Cardiology, European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, European Society of Cardiology, and the European Heart Rhythm Association among others.
His latest research article published in October 2015 in the Journal of Atrial Fibrillation describes the largest follow up known to date of patients with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation, treated with cryoballoon ablation catheter technique.
