Elizabeth Boultbee

Managing Director, Boultbee & Co, UK

elizabeth-boultbeeElizabeth has been involved in the operational management of hospitals; the financing of healthcare projects and the development & maintenance of patient flows from international sources to the UK for over 20 years.

Elizabeth was the Head of International Business for HCA; General Manager of the International & Private Unit at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (in the top 5 children’s hospitals in the world) for 4 years; General Manager of Moorfields Private at Moorfields Eye Hospital – the oldest and largest ophthalmic centre in the world and Business Manager at the Private Patient Unit of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for 4 years significantly increasing international patient flows in each hospital. Elizabeth has also worked for BUPA and PPP – the two main private healthcare insurers in the UK.

Elizabeth now has her own international healthcare consultancy business – Boultbee & Co – specializing in the development of patient referrals from the Middle East, establishing international patient centres and in general operational issues within the private sector hospitals. Clients include, or have included, Bupa Cromwell Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals, BMI Healthcare, The London Clinic, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, D&TEC (Nigeria) and the US third party administrator – QHM.

Elizabeth is also a partner in London Medicine UK – also offering a range of consultancy services including the provision of pharmaceuticals and medical consumables to foreign governments.

Elizabeth was the “Women in Business in the Arab World” award winner in 2002 and secured the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2009 for HCA. Elizabeth is on the Advisory Board of JP Clinics (China) and Executive Director of D&TET (Nigeria). She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA) and a Member of the Institute of Export (MIEx). Elizabeth is also the Honorary Treasurer of The King’s Cross Baptist Church and is also a Street Pastor.
