The IMTJ Medical Travel Summit 2017 is attracting some of the brightest talents in medical travel. They’ll share their knowledge, insight and experience of building a sustainable international patient business.

Maria Onyshchenko-Dubow

Deputy Head/Head of Marketing, International Medical Services, Medical Center – University of Freiburg, Germany

Maria Onyshchenko-Dubow squareMaria Onyshchenko-Dubow has been working in the field of medical tourism for the last 15 years and is an expert in marketing medical services in CIS markets. Ukrainian-born, she earned her M.A in Economics from the University of Freiburg, with a focus on Health Care Economics. She also studied in England and is currently working on her doctorate on the topic of Medical Tourism.

Deputy Head of one of the largest International Patient Departments in Germany since 2015, she is involved not only in strategic marketing and management but also in providing hands-on services to more than 2,000 Russian speaking patients every year. Before becoming deputy head, she played an integral role in establishing add-on non-medical services for clients as well as conceptualizing and implementing profitable telemedical services at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg. Her current focus is on collaborating with local partners to enhance VIP-tailored services and integrating telemedical services into sustainable long-term medical care for international patients.

Maria regularly gives workshops and courses for German health care providers on strategies for entering Eastern European markets and special needs of Russian speaking patients at the University of Applied Science Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and International Business School Tuttlingen, Germany.
